Newmont Divestment

Having read and looked at this I now have a list of the parts that make up the Telfer/Havieron package (I think, I have numbered them in the priority to Greatland, it I have missed any bits please add) 1. The mine development JV at Havieron, the only one where real money has been spent (in terms of ...

Re: Question Havieron and the Telfer

When looking around I have found this (Rincon Resources Limited) showing the Newmont tenements in the Patterson, I dont think I had seen this before in this form.

Re: Question Havieron and the Telfer

If as is being posted elsewhere there is a Tailing issue at Havieron then this is a good reason not to have the mine and to have a cost plus agreement to do the reinstatement for Newmont. Or An agreement that protects us as the purchaser of Telfer against these type of issues, that are unknow at the...

Re: Question Havieron and the Telfer

Something Bamps posted on LSE gets me thinking of other way to cut up the Newcrest Assets. Owning both Telfer and Havieron will have an effect on the AISC, really increasing the Cost hence decreasing the profit per Oz, I would have thought that as we were tolling the processing of the ore that the c...

Re: Another record high in gold (nominally)

I do like your research and posts on the price of gold, and the breakdown of the banking systems. I would like your opinion on the effect on GGP, (and other items regarding our life and investments) in that if the the banks go Kaput does that put us as we are relying on the banks to fund GGP to prod...

Re: Copper

IMG_6687.jpeg The copper price is reaching its 12 month high. Havieron 3mt pa @0.6% should produce around 39,683,000lbs of copper That would give Ggp if they have 100% $163m copper revenues per year. If the gold pays for everything then the copper revenues are all profit. The all time high of $4.88...

Re: The Power of ROFR (Rights of First Refusal) 💥💥💥

I am sure , we are in a count down and I have mentally set 1 October 2024 for the final date so if it happens before all well and good. Hydrogen: Your analysis aligns with mine, except for the $ 1b, and would be H A P P Y with that, at that point in time. Then there would be no shorting activity and...

Re: Tailings Dams

Dad, I agree with that. I included it as a method among many of putting us (PI's) into a similar position of any possible bidder for Havieron, they as will GGP have to look at it from all possible events and out comes. The great known unknows are Can Telfer make a profit on its own, with more concen...

Re: Tailings Dams

The pipeline serves Nifty and Telfer, from this the ownership is split, approx. 20% to APA, this I think means it can be extended.

Re: Tailings Dams

The pipeline must be under a contract with the gas supplier, and may be owned by them with a supply and maintenance agreement. If no telfer then it would be available to extend (alternative being abandon in ground, reinstate above ground equipment as required, I assume at least to Nifty), these cost...

Re: Tailings Dams

Shinybits: Yes good analysis. I think all money paid by levy to WA state fund is only for mines and tenement that have become orphans with the previous owners unknown due to no history. In bankruptcy responsibility and goes back more that the last owner, or all would fall on the State as subsidiarie...

Re: The Power of ROFR (Rights of First Refusal) 💥💥💥

Hydrogen: As I understand it most, if not all JV's agreements have a similar ROLR, so should one of the parties to the agreement want out that others parties, and there can be more than one, have the right to buy the party leaving out, at the best price they can get in the market, not a penny more i...

Question Havieron and the Telfer

There is so much going on in the background (i hope) and this brings with it times of uncertainty. Thinking of only Havieron I have some questions and my considered answers, if I think I have one, as always just my thoughts in order to find out more by having others opinions. We have a joint venture...

Re: Newmont and Telfer (with Havieron)

While today we did not get confirmation that we are going to be the 100% owners of Havieron, we did get more information from the half year results "On 22 February 2024, Newmont announced its intention to divest its interest in Havieron in calendar year 2024, as well as its 100% owned Telfer mi...
